Biography

Born at Papunya in the house that is now used as the Police station. Cynthia has four children – Christine; Dorothy; Timmy & Lorraine. She paints her grandmother’s stories – father’s mother. She was a Nakamarra. Special place is Kurinyara – Mt Wedge – big mountain there. North of Papunya. Cynthia is sister to Daisy Jugadai and Molly (Maluya) Zimran and daughter to the late Narputta Nangala.

As of late Cynthia also paints her mother’s story of Karrkurtinja. Her grandfather had six wives and her grandmother came from west of Kintore and she passed away near Brown’s Bore.
