Budgerigar Tjukurrpa by Justin Corby

Description

Justin paints this story inspired by a place named Tjunti (meaning a shelf or a cave). Tjunti is west of Nyirrpi, north-west of Papunya heading towards Kintore. The circle in the middle represents a waterhole that the Budgerigars are flocking to as the only water source in the area. The separate flocks are represented by the various shapes Justin has painted around the waterhole.
