Description

This beautiful bag comes many different designs by Ikuntji Artists. Please click the image menu to browse the options.

Elegant cross-body bag with adjustable strap that also looks gorgeous as a shoulder bag.
The bag features a superb fabric print by artists Alice Nampitjinpa Dixon, Eunice Napapangja Jack, Mitjili Napurrula and Mavis Marks  and hand-printed in Australia. See more info below.
This is one of our most popular bags and is also known as the ‘double zipper bag’ for it’s handy external pockets on the front. There’s also another zip pocket on the back. Fully lined and includes internal zip pocket.
This gorgeous bag features a triple screen print. The contrasting fabric is black colored handwoven silk/cotton with a lovely texture. This is a high quality bag
The base is a narrow oval that the bag sits on.
Limited Edition: All our products are made in small batches as all the fabrics are handprinted in very limited quantities, sometimes no more than 2 metres.

DIMENSIONS:
H: 35 cm/13.5 inches
W: 36 cm/14.25 inches
Base Depth: 9 cm/3.5 inches (base).
Color: The base cloth is charcoal grey and the ink is bright blue and metallic copper. The matching fabric is black.
Fabric: Feature fabric is cotton drill and matching fabric is hand loomed cotton/silk made in Vietnam. It has a lovely texture. The lining fabric is navy blue.

The fabric was hand-printed at Publisher Textiles in Sydney then beautifully crafted by  fair trade partners Villageworks Cambodia as part of our collaboration with Flying Fox Fabrics. Villageworks employs, trains and supports disabled Cambodian artisans. The lady who made these bags lives in a village in the Cambodian countryside around 50 km from Phnom Penh.

Villageworks Cambodia was established in 2001 as a social enterprise. They create a selection of accessories and homewares and are innovative in the materials used including recycled, organic and natural materials. In 2015 they became certified members of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO).

Fabric printed by:
Publisher Textiles & Papers in Sydney is one of Australia’s leading print houses. Focused on producing original patterns through traditional hand-screen printing methods they create bold and colourful textiles, hand printed wallpaper, clothing and fabric.

Because all of these beautiful pieces are individually made from hand-screen printed fabric, the pattern on each bag may vary slightly.

I was given a metre of Rockholes fabric as a present but it was too beautiful to cut up! I had it stretched on a frame and now it hangs in our hallway. The lively colours and shapes make me happy whenever I walk past.
