More exciting news for Ikuntji artist Hayley Dodd! Hayley has been shortlisted for the 2024 National Indigenous Fashion Award’s Cecilia Cubillo Young Achiever Award. This Award recognises an outstanding young person between the ages of 15-25 years, who is excelling in the area of fashion, textile design, modelling, styling, wearable art and/or adornment/jewellery. The National Indigenous Fashion Awards (NIFA) has been created to provide a vibrant and exciting platform to celebrate innovation, diversity and ethical practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and fashion designers, whilst contributing to the capacity building of the sector.

Recognising and showcasing excellence across six categories, the award ceremony is a unique opportunity for the Australian and international fashion community to connect to the world’s oldest living cultures. Winners will be announced at the NIFA Ceremony on Wednesday 7th August at the Darwin Deckchair Cinema. Tickets to the awards ceremony are on sale now, you can purchase tickets HERE
