We are delighted to announce that Ikuntji Artists arts worker Christine Multa was awarded first prize at the 2013 Desart Art Worker Photography Prize in November. The prize was established in 2012 to encourage artistic use of these skills and Christine’s photograph “My Grandmother Went Hunting” was selected for its immediate, eye-catching visual qualities and sense of intimacy.
Congratulations Christine, we are very proud of you!
Christine’s winning photograph will travel with the Desart Art Workers Photography Exhibition to Tangentyere Artists and Alcaston Gallery.
Christine will also attend a Meet the Artist event at Alcaston Gallery in Melbourne on 3 May.
