Keturah Zimran’s Artwork Projected on Parliament House – National Reconciliation Week Ceremonial Lighting
Ended — at Parliament House, Canberra
Keturah’s artwork was received wonderfully at the National Reconciliation Week Ceremonial Lighting; her artwork Puli Puli was projected spectacularly on the façade of Australian Parliament House. The artwork projection was held over 3 nights from Monday 27 May to Wednesday 29 May 2024 from dusk to 11:00 pm for the public to enjoy in recognition of National Reconciliation Week.
The ceremonial evening on Tuesday 28 May was a perfect night. Many braved the cold, including Aunty Violet Sheridan, Ngunnawal Elder, Senator the Hon Sue Lines, President of the Senate, the Hon Milton Dick MP, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Hon Linda Burney MP, Minister for Indigenous Australians, parliamentarians and members of the public.
The President of the Senate shared Keturah’s story capturing the essence of her artwork and love for painting – this was also reflected beautifully in the projection.
Keturah’s artwork will again be projected for NAIDOC Week from Sunday 7 July to Tuesday 9 July 2024.
