Ikuntji Artists are proud to announce that the collaborative artwork ‘Waru at Watarru’ by Anne Dixon, Beryl Jimmy, Imatjala Pollard and their mother Kumuntjai Minyintiri Muwitja has been announced as a finalist in this years Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize.
About the award
The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize is an annual prize that was launched in 2017 to advance art and opportunity for emerging and established female artists in Australia. There are two prize categories, including a $35,000 prize — the richest professional art prize for women in Australia. Artwork judging will be overseen by Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize Patron and acclaimed artist, Jennifer Turpin, and announced at the exhibition opening on 31 May, 2019. Opening Night & Exhibition
The 2019 Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize will be officially opened and prize winners announced in the Centenary Centre at Ravenswood School for Girls, Henry Street, Gordon (Gate 3) on Friday 31 May, 2019 at 6.00pm – 9.00pm.
The evening of cocktails, canapés and award-winning art will be hosted by the Ravenswood Principal, Anne Johnstone, accompanied by special guest speakers.
Tickets to the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize Opening Night on 31 May 6.00pm to 9.00pm are $40 per person. Please visit their website to purchase your ticket.

Exhibition of Finalists: The Exhibition of Finalists is from Saturday 1 June to Sunday 9 June. The Exhibition is open daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm, closing at 2.00pm on the final day, 9 June. Free admission.
