Photography workshops with Tobias Titz

In a series of workshops arts workers and artists from Ikuntji Artists will experiment with the medium photography. Renowned photographer Tobias Titz will be guiding the artists and arts workers through the process and focus in particular on portraits of the artists. Ikuntji Artists at Tjungu Festival, Yulara NT

For the first time Ikuntji Artists will hold a stall at the Tjungu Festival in Yulara. From Thursday 26 April until Sunday 29 April 2018 the Ayers Rock Resort will be transformed: art and culture will take the centre stage. Market stalls, fashion parade, food events and live music all form part of the festival.

Lantern making workshop at Ikuntji Artists

In a workshop with consultant Nathalie Bastier artists from Ikuntji Artists created a range of lanterns. The lanterns are all based on the idea of everyday life in a remote Indigenous community. They are made of paper, wire and glue – creating an ephemeral yet glowing object.
