Painting Power – Ritual, Art & Land, at The Goods Shed, Perth
The relationship between the power of nature and the energy of ritual traditions is explored in these intensely personal artworks by Aboriginal artists living in remote Australia. Their vivid canvases evoke rain making rituals, ancestral narratives, the connection to stars and moon and how they feature in traditional land management practices.
2017 Wyndham Art Prize
Ikuntji Artists is proud to announce that Alice Nampitjinpa and Eunice Napanangka Jack have been shortlisted for the Wyndham Art Prize 2017. The exhibition opens on 5 April – 6.30 to 8.30pm. The Wyndham Art Prize is part of the Wyndham Cultural Centre’s annual events and features a selected group of local and national artists.
