Roseranna Larry's design is printed on this pinafore, which depicts the story of Janyanpartinya creek (Mount Campbell), passed down to her from Old Lady Napaltjarri Morton. The kingki/tjanpa and milarrpa - boogey men and women - live near this creek. The old ladies can sing the boogey men and women so that they come.
Roseanna was born in Papunya in 1980 and grew up in Haasts Bluff. She is Chairperson of Ikuntji Artists and has travelled throughout Australia and Europe visiting Luritja collections in museums. She began painting this story in 2017 after Old Lady Morton passed away.
