This Audrey top is printed with Lisa Multa's design, which depicts a bird's eye view of the tali tali (sandhills) at Kungkayunti (Brown's Bore) - the Country of her father Joe Tjakamarra Multa, where she grew up. From the top of the tali tali, a 360-degree view of the surrounding Country can be seen, abundant with bush tucker. Kungkayunti is an important place for the travelling Tjukurrpa of the ancestral Arrernte women who travelled 600km from Ntaria (Hermannsburg) to Kintore, stopping here to camp, rest, eat and dance. Those women turned into stone and can be seen today.
Lisa was born in 1975 and grew up at Kungkayunti. She began painting in 2007 after returning to Haasts Bluff and seeing her sisters painting at Ikuntji Artists.
