In 2014 as well as having celebrated 21 Years of Ikuntji
Artists, we also celebrate 21 years of Desart. In September Ikuntji Artists and other artists from Central Australia will present stories, images and films about their art, art centres, country and culture. This unique event gives visitors an insight into what is currently happening with Art Centres in Central Australia and further afield. The Symposium also features a number of invited artists and special guests to present stories about their art practice and projects being developed.
But the main attraction is the market on the Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Come along and visit us and pick up a bargain to take home!
Desert Mob exhibition, symposium and market stall will be hosted at the Araluen Arts Centre in Alice Springs. The official opening of the exhibition will be on Thursday 5th September.
