Description
This spectacular piece depicts the important Napaltjarri Sisters who come down from the sky and travel long distances across the landscape during the cold winter nights. Within one night they will visit sacred places and renew the stories then move off to hunt for bush tucker – seeds, fruits and meat – putting them all into their coolomans before returning to the sky before daybreak. Their visit is marked on the land by the dew they leave behind which burns off quickly under the rapidly warming day under the new desert sky.
