Fashion As Art 2024 celebrates global artists and designers impacting the world of fashion today. Held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Violet Crown and is presented in partnership with The Fralin Downtown Film Series and the Virginia Film Festival.

Launched in 2019, Fashion As Art is an annual event series engaging the community with art, fashion, and The Fralin. In partnership with the museum’s Volunteer Board, local businesses, and student groups, the events not only grow awareness of the museum’s mission and programming, but also showcase the depth and breadth of artists and designers from our area and beyond.

Ikuntji Artists was proud to display our textiles at this event as part of the Country to Couture presentation from DAAF 2023.
