Parrtjima – A Festival in Light will return to Alice Springs (Mparntwe) in 2024 from 12-21 April.

Join us under the Red Centre’s starry skies and watch the desert come alive with a celebration and exploration of art and culture on Arrernte Country.

Our very own Kelly Dixon and her work will be highlighted throughout the Grounded installation at the festival. Kelly tells the story of Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay), the country and Tjukurrpa of her aunt, and the large bushfire that travelled west, turning the land into a lake, a site of secret men’s Dreaming.

Parrtjima 2024 will infuse innovative technologies with traditional story-telling methods, offering visitors a unique perspective.
