National Indigenous Fashion Awards (NIFA)
Ended — at Deckchair Cinema
Celebrating the innovation of Australia’s First Nations peoples in fashion and textiles, the National Indigenous Fashion Awards (NIFA) return to Larrakia Country this August 9, 2023, and to screens via NITV!
Recognising and showcasing excellence across six categories, the award ceremony is a unique opportunity for the Australian and international fashion community to connect to the world’s oldest living cultures.
We are excited to announce that we have been nominated for three categories
- Business Achievement Award, for our growth and successes in the fashion and textiles sector.
- Community Collaboration Award for our unique partnership with MFPR, a boutique communications agency specialising in the fashion and lifestyle industries.
- And seven of our artists have been shortlisted for the Textile Design Award: Alison Napurrula Multa, Walter Jugadai, Roseranna Larry, Doreen Lane, Hayley Dodd, Pam Brown and Virgillia Multa.
Come together on Larrakia Country for the NIFA sunset ceremony at the iconic Deckchair Cinema on Wednesday August 9.
