Printed on 100% silk dupion, this design by Doreen Lane depicts a childhood memory - jumping in the back of a ute with her family and travelling from Papunya to Ulumbauru, a beautiful place with a dam for swimming. Doreen was the daughter of Maudie Jugadai and Phillip Lane, and the granddaughter of Timothy Jugadai Tjungurrayi, a founding member of Ikuntji Artists who painted at Papunya Tula since the 1970s.
Everyone jumped on the back of the truck and drove out sitting on the tray to go swimming. We had a fun time there.

Yarn dyed and machine woven, with different coloured warp and weft creating an iridescent quality that shifts with light and movement. 100% silk, 137cm wide, 85gsm.
